Aoife Grace Cullinan
She's here! Aoife (pronounced EE-FA) (Gaelic for Eve) was born on April
28th at 4:43 in the morning. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz and is 21 inches
long. She is doing great - eating and sleeping lots! She is a calm
baby so far and looks like both Aidan and Emmy. Here are a few pictures
from the big day!

The National Cathedral
This morning we went to the National Cathedral. I have been wanting to
go for a while and I figured we better do it now or maybe it wouldn't
happen! It was actually HOT which was a little weird since we haven't
had a very warm spring. It seemed to go from 50 and rainy to 90 and
sunny in one day.
The Cathedral is gorgeous and there are some beautiful gardens. We didn't get to see everything so I hope we get to go back but it is a bit of a hike from our house!
Outside the Cathedral:Side View from the Bishop's Garden:Inside:Playing in the Bishop's Garden:Fish Pond - Emmy's still talking about the fish!Gazebo:All of us - I am soooo fat I can't believe I'm even posting this picture!

The Boys are Back
Aidan and Brendan got back late last night from Disney. They had a
great time and did tons at the parks. I think the highlight of the trip
was "Star Tours". Aidan got chosen to go up on stage, do Jedi
training and fight Darth Vader. From the pictures he seemed to take the
entire thing very seriously but when he was telling me about it he
said, "That Darth Vader was nice, I think. He let us jack him up." I
wish I had been there but at least Brendan got tons of great pictures!!
Here's Aidan before the show - he is tired already - it's only day 2! Brendan said that he just wasn't happy - but that all was about to change!Taking the entire Jedi experience very seriously - despite the puppy face paint!Aidan is right in the middle of this picture - the one with the hood on:Being trained in the ways of the Jedi (Aidan is in the middle - hood up):Fighting Darth Vader:I believe this is afterwards - on a speeder bike:More pictures are coming - I have to wait to get the rest of them off of Brendan's camera!

Girl Time
Brendan and Aidan left for Disney World yesterday - actually today but
the flight was so early that they stayed in a hotel last night. Aidan
really needed some Daddy time. All the traveling and long hours that
Brendan works are especially hard on Aidan so we thought this would be a
great opportunity for them to spend some time together - plus Disney is
giving great deals to military families so it was almost silly not to
take advantage of it!
Another plus is that Emmy and I get to spend some good quality time together! We went over to Mt. Vernon this morning because the weather was cloudy and warm - perfect! We saw lots of flowers, horses, sheep and lambs, bulls, cows, chickens, roosters, and even a pig - she was in heaven! Even better than that - she told me when she needed to go to the bathroom and we had no accidents! It is so nice to not have to worry as much!

Walking by the River
My parents were here for the Easter weekend and we went walking by the
Potomac one afternoon. The hope was that we were going to be able to
feed the ducks all of the bread that I had saved in the freezer. We had
a good time throwing bread at the ducks but they were less than
interested - I've never seen a bird pass up the opportunity to eat -
Emmy was very disappointed!
