Easter 2020

Easter this year was a little bit different than years before. Of course, we weren't able to go to Army Navy for brunch and that was a little sad but we had a good time at home with Easter baskets and doing our own Easter egg hunt. We had a delicious dinner and hung around the house!

Virginia Bluebells at Turkey Run

We decided to go out for a hike to see the bluebells along the Potomac today. It's been 3 weeks since school closed and everything shut down. The entrance to the park was closed so we had to park on the road and hike into the park. We kind of got turned around a little bit and ended up hiking about 4 miles which was just a bit longer than I had planned! Good thing it wasn't hot and we didn't need extra water! The kids were great and had a good time (I think!) - they at least humored me!! We also got to leave some of Aoife's painted rocks along the path for future hikers. It will be fun to go back later in the summer and see if they are still there!
