First Real Practice

Today Aidan had his first real baseball practice.  It was a gorgeous day - 75 and sunny.  It was the kind of day that you wish could be everyday!  He had practice from 12-2 and the boys all seemed to have a great time.  The coach is fantastic and even the assistant coach knows what he is doing!!  They are so calm with the boys and the team is already responding!  They are encouraging each other and already working well together!

Today they did a bunch of drills to see where everyone is and what they each need to work on.  Aidan has been working on his hitting almost everyday since last season and it really shows.  I'm so proud of him!  He has gained so much confidence from working hard and improving!  He said that he is excited to be a leader on the team.  It's times like these when I feel like maybe we are doing something right!!

When they were doing hitting drills they got to hit until they got on base so Aidan only got to hit twice.  He fouled it off the first time and then got a hit the second time.  He was a little disappointed that he didn't get to hit more.
