Jamestown Field Trip

Today I got to go with Emmy's grade to the Jamestown settlement!  We had so much fun and it was a beautiful day.  We had to get up super early to leave on the bus at 6am but it was worth it.  We had a fantastic tour guide who really brought everything to life!  The Smithsonian was there working on an excavation of the settlement which was amazing!  Usually the pits are covered but we got to see what the basements of the buildings looked like - truly incredible!
