Visiting the Cherry Blossoms in the Tidal Basin

 We missed the peak blossoms during the gorgeous sunny and warm weather!!  Declan and I went to see what was left this morning with Gramma and Daddy Jim.  It was beautiful still - even if it was chilly and cloudy!  We saw lots of blossoms and even some ducks!  Declan loved being just close enough to the edge to make me pretty nervous!  We also walked through the FDR memorial which is beautiful and has lots of its own cherries and crab apples.
Next year we've got to make a point of getting down there for the peak!

Easter 2016

 Happy Easter!!  It was a bit of a chilly day again this year and we had to wear winter coats for the Easter Egg hunt at Army Navy!  Definitely different from those HOT Easters at Fort Campbell!!  After the egg hunt, we went inside and had a delicious brunch with Tom and Tony.  Afterwards, we tracked the Easter bunny down and took a quick picture before heading home for a relaxing afternoon.  We had fondu for dinner and cake for dessert!!

Dying Easter Eggs

 Late March and it's warm enough to dye Easter Eggs outside!!  The kids had a fun time and Norah from next door joined us as well.  They got very creative in their dying methods and the eggs turned out beautifully!!!!

Airplane Cookies

This little cookie and cake business is really starting to take off - no pun intended!!  I'm getting pretty busy most weekends and it is really just so much fun!  I made these airplanes for a 1st birthday party- they were bagged for the favors.  I didn't think that the airplane was enough alone so I found adorable cloud cutters and included those as well.  They were so adorable!!

Aidan gets braces!

Aidan got his braces on today!!!  He's been suffering with the palette expander for 6 weeks and now it's time to straighten those teeth out!  Here's to 18 months of braces!!!

Music Note Birthday Cake

 I made this music note cake to match the party invitations for a one year old's birthday party!  The notes were cookies and it turned out super cute!!

St. Patrick's Day with the Happy Apples

 I celebrated St. Patrick's Day with Declan's class today!  We started with all green snacks and then made rainbows with Fruit Loops!  It was really fun - like always - to be in the classroom with all of those cuties!!
