Declan and I joined my parents for a day on their boat today! It was a great day for sailing - although maybe a little too calm. We had a great time relaxing and Declan took a few turns at being Captain!

Emmy at Boston University
Emmy and Brendan flew up to Boston for a quick visit to Boston University! Emmy participated in their camp and really liked the school and the team. I'm sure that going to a Red Sox game and visiting Faneuil Hall and The Sail Loft didn't hurt things at all!

Dinner at the Lincoln Memorial
It was a really nice night - so we took a Chipotle picnic to the Lincoln Memorial! It was so nice to be able to be outside and enjoy a gorgeous evening! We even got to see some baby ducks!!
Dumbarton Oaks Garden and Museum
While Emmy and Brendan are up in Boston for the BU Camp, we are on our own here and attempting a stay-cation! Today we went to Dumbarton Oaks Garden and Museum and it was a beautiful surprise - it's enormous and right in the middle of Georgetown! There are many different types of gardens - from flowers to water and even vegetables! The grounds are beautiful and we didn't even see the entire thing - it was a little warm. We went to the museum afterwards - there is no admission cost - and there was a pretty spectacular collection of both Ancient Greek and Roman artifacts AND an amazing collection of Pre-Columbian artifacts. It's actually pretty amazing that there is quite an impressive museum hidden away in Georgetown!

US Botanical Gardens
Aoife, Declan and I took a quick trip to the US Botanical Gardens. It was nice to get out and do something fun since we've been laying low because of Declan's arm. He's doing much better and on the way to a full recovery!

American University Camp
Emmy attended camp at American University today. It was so fun to be there with Anna and Gigi! The coaching staff is awesome and the campus is so nice and close to our house!

Maryland Capital Cup
This weekend was the final tournament of the summer season for Capital 2025 Blue. We have loved this season so much and Emmy has progressed so much. It's such a joy watching her work hard and find success. Let's go Cap! Blue on Two!
