Under Armour All American Tournament 2022

Emmy made the DC Under Armour All American Team again this year! What another fantastic experience! She was on the team with several friends from Capital and her best friend from school. She started every game and had an amazing tournamant! The team didn't do as well as they would have liked overall but I think it was awesome for everyone and so much fun to play with girls from all over the country. It was a LONG four days of driving up and back each day and it was HOT but it was a great end of the summer lacrosse season! 

A long weekend in Rehoboth

We had 5 days between the end of football preseason camp and the Under Armour tournament and I was able to find a great house in Rehoboth that ended up belonging to a friend of ours! It was perfect for us - a mile from the beach and close to restaurants and shopping. We had a resident parking pass so we were able to park at the quieter end of the beach and really enjoy the water! Brendan is in Alabama for the summer at Fort Rucker so it was just me with the kids. We bought Emmy's friend Delaney with us - so 5 kids and me! It worked out great - we ate out a few nights and cooked a few nights. They spent plenty of time at Funland, ate oysters, had Grottos pizza and got lots of beach time! I wish we had more time but I'm so glad that we were able to enjoy and relax during the time that we did have!

 

Capital at the Mid Atlantic Championship

We had a great weekend with Capital at the MidAtlantic Championship - the last tournament of the 2022 summer season. The girls did amazing and went 5-1 and went to the semi final. What an amazing improvement since the fall. They have been playing really well together and ended the season ranked #10 in the nation. Incredible! 

A trip to IKEA

 Declan didn't remember ever going to IKEA so we had to take a trip! We decided to move Aidan into the office (he needed a mattress), let Declan be in the upstairs bedroom and inherit the girls' lego table and get the girls a new dresser - so it was the perfect time to go to IKEA! Declan was delighted by all of the room set ups and astounded by the cafeteria! 

A hike to the Potomac

One of our favorite things to do is hike to the Potomac from the bottom of our street. It's so much cooler down there on hot days and its fun to crawl over the rocks and see if there are any flowers or wild raspberries growing!  It used to be much more of challenge when the kids were younger - now they are so big that they are faster than I am!
