Jamestown Open House

 Today we got to meet Aoife's 4th grade teacher and Declan's Kindergarten teachers for this year!  I love taking pictures of them at the open house and then again at the end of the year. It's fun to see how much they grow!

Side Garden

 So much hard work over the past few days. I pulled out the weeds along the side of the house and then transplanted all of the hostas from the house down the street that is being torn down in a few days. It looks great and so much better than weeds all over the place!

Yorktown vs. Stonebridge HS

 Aidan played great both at QB and outside linebacker tonight!  It was so much fun to watch them play. It was just a scrimmage but it was fun to be out on the field again!

Baby Bunnies!

 We have baby bunnies in our mint pot in the backyard!!  They are the cutest things EVER!!! It is so cute to see them nibbling on leaves and getting bigger every day! We are soooo lucky!!

YHS Freshman Football

Aidan is starting his High School Football career this summer as an 8th grader. We are so lucky that 8th graders get to play on the Freshman Team. We are looking forward to a fun season!!

 

Mini Golf!

 We finished up our awesome vacation with a little mini golf! It's always so much fun to do this with the kids - although they always lose interest around hole 12!

Surfing Lesson

On our last day of vacation, Emmy and Aidan took a surfing lesson together. They had a blast and they both did great - although they were exhausted by the end!! Maybe I'll take one with them next year!!!

Currituck Lighthouse

Today Aoife, my Dad and mom and I took a break from the beach and headed up to the top of the Currituck Lighthouse! It was a windy day but the view was beautiful and a great break from the heat once you got all the way to the top!  So much fun - a definite must when visiting the area!!

Corrolla Beach

 This year we had one week between lacrosse finishing and football starting to go on vacation. We went with my parents to Corrolla Beach in the outer banks of NC. It was gorgeous and so much fun. The house was beautiful and huge - so big that everyone could have had their own bedroom - we couldn't keep Declan and Aoife apart though! The house was a minute walk from the beach and even had it's own pool AND hot tub - everyone was happy about that!
We had a big kitchen and cooked awesome dinners every night, spent tons of time on the beach, went swimming, ate lots of ice cream and just relaxed. It was exactly what we needed!!
