First Day of School!

We made it! Today is the first day of school - Emmy in 10th, Aoife in 8th and Declan in 4th. Aidan will start school after Labor Day so he has been kind enough to volunteer as chauffeur! Aoife left first and walked to the bus with Elise - unfortunately the bus never came so they had to drive to school. Nothing like a stress free first day! Declan was second and the bus DID come! In Jamestown tradition, he rode the bus and I met him at school and walked him in to his class. He definitely didn't need me this year but it was still fun for me to go in for a few minutes.

Emmy was last this year - the 10th, 11th and 12th graders go a few hours late on the first day so the freshman can have the school to themselves. Aidan drove Emmy and Delaney to school with a quick Starbucks pitstop!

The Pool is Finally Open

 Nothing like opening the pool at the very last second! Army Navy has been under construction all summer and finally was able to open for a few weeks. I had forgotten how nice it is to just relax by the pool! Feels like summer!

Potomac vs Landon Scrimmage

Potomac and Landon scrimmaged this morning and it was HOT!! It's been a cool couple of weeks and it was scorching and so humid at 9am when they started playing. They played well but "lost" to Landon - keeping my fingers crossed for a great senior season!!

 

Jamestown Open House - 4th grade

Emmy and I got to go with Declan to Jamestown for his 4th grade open house to meet Mr. Scarano! It's always fun to get to go in for a few minutes to see the classroom before school starts. Declan is really lucky to have such an amazing teacher this year and to have so many of his friends in his class!!

 

Sailing!

 We finally got to go to Gramma and Daddy Jim's boat today! It was a beautiful day and we had a great sail! 

Back to School Haircut!

 We got Declan shorn today! He is all ready for school to start on Monday!!

Field Hockey is Under Way!

Emmy and Aoife's field hockey seasons are well underway! They even had a game a week before school started. Both girls are doing awesome and are playing defense. I think it's a good change from being in goal during lacrosse. I'm definitely looking forward to a fun fall season!

C&O canal with Declan

Declan and I had a great walk along the C&O canal today. It was pretty warm but we had fun looking for turtles and frogs! Can't believe that school starts so soon. It has seemed like a short and long summer all at once - and we are all looking forward to having Brendan home from Alabama in a few weeks!

 

Equipment Day!

 It's here! Equipment distro day means the beginning of Aidan's senior football season. It's hard to believe that it's here. The past three years have gone so quickly. We are looking forward to a lot of fun!
