Potomac Overlook Park

Declan and I took an afternoon stroll through Potomac Overlook Park.  Soon enough it will be too cold to enjoy these kinds of outings - we've got to enjoy the summer while we still have it!  We also had an exciting encounter - we got to see a baby flying squirrel that had landed on a man's shoulder and refused to leave!  The naturalist rescued it and will send it to a rehab facility.  Declan named it "Pumpkin" the flying squirrel.
We also got to see all of the snakes, frogs and turtles that they have in the nature center!  Declan LOVED an enormous Bullfrog!  The owls and hawk were awake as well - Declan totally loved that the owls kept turning their heads all the way around!
