Thanksgiving in Massachusetts

Its been so long since we have been able to visit Massachusetts for Thanksgiving! We took an extended week this year to come up and visit Mimi and Tom and see all of our family up here. It's been so nice to see everyone and spend time with all of the cousins - everyone is growing up so quickly!
We spent a nice day visiting the sites in Plymouth Harbor - Mayflower Museum and the Mayflower Ship. We even drove out to the beach and walked around - it was awesome - even in the cold!
Thanksgiving was great - tons of delicious food and drink and family fun! Incredible to watch the kids grow up. They all get along so well - it's just awesome!

Presidents Cup in Dallas

Emmy and I took a quick trip down to Dallas for the President's Cup. Capital 2025 Blue did amazing - going 3-1 and finishing First in their bracket. It was crazy cold - especially for Dallas in November - but the girls were super tough and played the best I've seen them play all season. So much generous playing, communication, great passing and genuine love for each other. It's really nice to see it all come together. They've put in so much hardwork and it's awesome to see it payoff!

We had a fun team dinner on Saturday night at a cool pizza place in Dallas - so much fun to get all of the girls and all of the parents together in one place.

Emmy played awesome - the team scored 44 and allowed only 18 goals over the entire tournament. Pretty awesome when the next best team in their bracket allowed 30 goals! She made so many clutch 8M saves -it was really fun to watch!

Field Trip to the Jamestown Settlement

Today I joined Declan's class on their field trip to the Jamestown Settlement. It was nice weather for this time of year - and it wasn't raining like it was when I went with Aoife's class! The kids had a great time and we visited the museum, Indian village, the fort and the ships. It was a long day - with 6 hours on the bus - but the kids had a great time. I can't believe it's my last field trip to Jamestown. :(

Potomac vs Trinity Episcopal - VISAA State Semi Final

For the first time ever Potomac football made the VISAA playoffs! They entered playoffs at 6-2, having won the MAC and finished 2nd in the VISAA state rankings! A truly remarkable season and a fantastic way to finish Aidan's high school football career! We are so proud of him and the entire team and how hard they have worked over the past 4 years to get here. A ton of learning and developing mental toughness got them to the most successful Potomac football season ever!

The game didn't end up the way they had hoped but they fought hard against a much much bigger team and never gave up. I am so proud of each and every one of them!!! O4P!

Capital at the Fall Continental Cup

Another amazing weekend with Capital 2025 Blue! Emmy and her team played incredibly well - they just keep getting better and better! It is so fun to watch them having fun and succeeding on the field! After such great playing they earned the #1 spot in the country - well deserved but tough to maintain!! Keep at it girls!!
