Brookside Gardens

 Today we went to Brookside Gardens in Maryland with some Army friends from Stroller Strong.  It was a beautiful day - surprisingly not super hot - unusual for August in Northern VA!  The gardens were lovely and it was so nice to be out and about with friends!  We usually go on our own on these adventures and it was nice to have some adult company.

We walked around, emjoyed the fountains, the Japanese Tea House, saw turtles in the pond, played in the childrens' play area and chased geese.  We finished up with a snack on the grass and totally got caught in the sprinklers!!  It was crazy but only lasted a minute so we regrouped and continued snacking! 

It was really a nice place - not too far away and I can't wait to go back!
