Since it was a bit rough and windy, we tried the beach over on the sound side of the island. It was very calm but I was terrified that I was going to step on a stingray - this is not an unfounded fear - they love calm warm water! The kids thought it was OK - a little boring though. We ticked the box and didn't go back the rest of the vacation.
