The Tower of London

We decided that we needed to go to London our first weekend in country. We thought that it would be best to go somewhere BIG that was mostly outdoors - so we went to the Tower of London. I thought it was a tower and didn't realize that it is an entire walled city! It is so cool and I can't wait to go back and see more of it. We took the train from Swindon to Paddington Station which cost us 80 pounds - almost $140 - crazy!! We took the Tube to the Tower and walked around for a few hours before turning around and heading home. It was a lot of fun and the kids were exhausted! Here are a bunch of pictures:

Aidan and Emmy waiting for Brendan to buy tickets:
The outside of the Tower looking down into the moat - it's grass now!
The entry gate from in the moat:
Aidan's favorite part - a crossbow demonstration in the moat:

those pictures are incredible and bizzare at the same time - the old mixed with the new! Just beautiful!
