Halloween 2017

The weather here in Virginia was PERFECT this year on Halloween!! One of these years we aren't going to get so lucky!  The only downside was that it was a school night but we still had fun and got a good bit of candy.  Aidan wasn't feeling well and stayed home with Brendan to hand out candy and Declan only made it about 20 minutes before he was finished with the whole thing.  The girls and I walked around with the neighborhood crew and had a great time!!

Halloween at School

Halloween is always a great day at school!!  The classes have parties, there is a parade and no work gets done at all!  The 5th grade has their own grade-wide party in the cafeteria after the parade and I was in charge of the photobooth - they were all so adorable!
Declan dressed up as a knight and finally enjoyed having a costume on at Halloween.  Aoife dressed up as Hermione - along with half of the girls in the 3rd grade!  Emmy dressed up as milk and her two good friends were cookies.  I love a good group costume!!
The weather couldn't have been better and the kids had a great time parading around the neighborhood - even the Montessori kids got to be in the parade!!!

Pumpkin Carving

One of the hardest things for me is getting these pre-holiday things into my schedule. I'm not really great - yet - at making sure all of these little things get done. It was so great to come home from work today to see Gramma and Daddy Jim carving pumpkins with the kids!!! All of my mom guilt about this - relieved!!!  It's so awesome to have them so close!!

Admirals vs. South County

The Admirals had their best game yet today!  They scored and ended the game 20-25. Even Aidan ran for a touchdown in the 4th quarter!  It was amazing!!

Emmy - Pride Lacrosse Tournament

Emmy played in another tournament with her Pride team today.  More getting up early to drive to Maryland.  I admire her commitment!!!

Pride Tournament

Emmy and Aoife played in their first tournament with Pride this weekend.  We got up SUPER early and drove to Maryland for their games.  It was COLD for Aoife's first game but they were tough and did really well against a much older team.  The girls played all morning - they each played in four games and were totally wiped out by the end of the day!!
