Football Fan Photos!

We got to take our fan photos for the football banquet today!

Potomac 51 - George Mason 0

After getting rained out last week, Aidan's team had another great game and another big win this week! Aidan had a great catch for a big run and a touchdown while playing defense!  The game was great and a perfect night for football. Unfortunately the game ended with a terrible leg injury to one of our players and he had to be taken to the hospital for surgery. Every single freshman student at Potomac wore blue to school today to honor their classmate. We are hoping that he will be back to school quickly!!

Two cute photos of Declan - so many years of watching other people play sports! You'll get there buddy!!

Potomac vs John Paul the Great

Aidan completed his first week at his new school and his team had their first game and their first win! They beat John Paul the Great 66-0 and Aidan had a beautiful catch which he ran out for a touch down! The team looked good and the boys had fun winning their first game!

First Scrimmage

Aidan's JV scrimmage against Landon was today. It was a beautiful day and they played really well!  It's going to be so much fun seeing them play next week!

Aidan's Broken Elbow

Aidan's first broken bone today.  He broke his elbow in the last football game of the season and was such a trooper. It hurt so much an he was so good about it. The hospital was fantastic and really took such good care of him and got us out of there as soon as they could with a temporary cast. We have to go to the pediatrician tomorrow to get the Ortho referral to get a real cast after the swelling goes down a bit. Hoping that this is the last cast he ever has to have!

YHS vs WL

Today was the last game of the season for Aidan's freshman football team. He got to start at quarterback and also played at outside linebacker. He had his best game of the season up until right before the end of the first half when his elbow got crushed between two helmets and he ended up with a broken elbow. He was super tough and stood on the sideline for the second half and even took the bus back to the school. I picked him up and we went directly to the hospital where they xrayed him and put his arm in a temporary cast. Definitely not the way we thought or hoped that the season would end.

YHS vs Langley

Sadly YHS did not put on a great performance today and Langley came out ahead in today's game. Better luck next game!!

YHS vs. Herndon

What a night!  YHS held the lead the entire game until the last 10 seconds when Herndon tied it up. It was crazy!

YHS vs McLean

Number 12 back at it - starting at outside linebacker!

Yorktown vs. Lake Braddock

Sadly, YHS lost today's game. Aidan had some great plays though and as always, its just awesome to watch them play!
