City Livin' - Rocky Run Park

 There are so may different parks in the County - most of them I don't even know about!  I've been going on the parks' website and trying to find new and different places to visit and today we went to Rocky Run Park.  It's on the edge of Clarendon so it's pretty close - and it was a great park!  They are almost finished building bathrooms - so it'll be even better in a few months.  There's an area for toddlers and a big climbing structure that's geared for bigger kids, although Declan was able to enjoy playing on the lowest levels of it.  Most of it is shady - great for hot summer days and there's a fair amount of street parking. 
We had a great time - we didn't stay for too long but I think if we meet up with some friends next time, our visit will be longer!

Clemyjontri Park

 Emmy was feeling well enough this afternoon to go to Clemyjontri Park which is this amazing playground not too far from us.  It was chilly and we didn't last too long but it was so nice to get outside and breathe in some fresh air! 

Declan at CF Park

 Declan and I did a little more photoshoot scouting today at CF park.  It's pretty but not exactly what I'm looking for.  It does seem like fun though - we'll have to come back another time with everyone else!!

Happy New Year!

 We went to the park this afternoon!  It was so warm that it was hard to believe that it was the first of January!!  Declan is getting so big and getting so good at walking and it is fun to see him enjoy himself at the park.  He has always loved the swings but now he loves the slide and climbing up and down the stairs as well.  The other kids get such a kick out of him and they all had to take turns bringing him down the slide. 

In true KY fashion, it snowed on the second of January and it is still freezing out with no warm temperatures in the near future. Brrrrrrrrr!!!

A Visit from Gramma!

 Gramma came to visit us this week!  We had so much fun going to the park, eating out and we even went to the zoo before we took her to the airport on Monday.  We hope we see you soon!!!!!

Family Fun!!

 We got a little park time in on Sunday afternoon.  Brendan got to see how much Declan LOVES the swing and the kids got to show off all of their new moves.  They are so happy that Dad is home for a little while.  It feels great - like everything is whole again.
