Goalie Camp

Aidan, Emmy and Aoife all spent this week together at Frostburg State at a lacrosse goalie camp!  It was very quiet at home without them but I think that Declan had a great time being an only child for a few days. it was definitely a long way to drive to go up and back twice in 4 days but I think that they loved it. It was Aoife's first time away for camp and it was the perfect amount of time. She also had Emmy right across the hall! 

I hope that they want to go back next summer!

Aidan at Quarterback Camp

Aidan spent the weekend at George Mason at Quarterback Camp. He spent two nights and had three days of practice.  When Brendan dropped him off on Saturday, they realized that there was another camp starting directly afterwards on Monday so the kids and I came up on Monday to bring him more clothes, check him out of one camp and into another one.  We really miss him at home but I know that he is having so much fun and learning lots!!

Last Day of LAX Camp

 Emmy came home today!!!  We missed her so much and although I know that she had so much fun, I think that she was really tired and ready to come home.  We got up to College Park in time to watch her play in two games - they won both of them - in the tournament.  Emmy's team ended up winning the tournament so not only did she get a prize along with the other goalies (for being the hardest workers) she got a prize for winning!  I think she was pretty happy about it!!
It's so nice to have her home - Aoife is really happy as well to have her roommate back!

LAX Camp visit

 The kids and I drove up to College Park tonight to have dinner with Emmy at camp and watch her play in an evening game.  The way Emmy's friend's mom was talking, it sounded like lots of parents go up to eat and then watch a game.  NOPE - we were totally the only ones and I kind of felt REALLY bad that we had invaded Emmy's space.  She did seem happy to see us and I know she was really tired.  We ate dinner with her in the dining hall and then drove over to the field to watch the game.  She did great and played really aggressively in goal.  She did not let up a goal in the game that we saw!  Pretty awesome!!  We get to go back up tomorrow and bring her home after her morning tournament.  I can't wait - I miss her so much!!

Maryland Lacrosse Camp

 Emmy left for sleep away camp at the University of Maryland today.  She gets to stay in a dorm, practice and play on the college fields and even eat in the dining hall!  She is going for three nights and it was so much fun seeing her settle in to the dorm. She looked like she wanted us to leave her there for good!  Unfortunately we had some tears at home tonight. Aoife is very upset that Emmy isn't here!  We even tried moving Declan down to the girls' room for their own "sleepover". He just ended up falling asleep and not making Aoife feel better at all!!
I'm sure Emmy will have a great time and we will be so happy to see her on Wednesday!!

Declan's soccer camp

Declan had soccer camp for three mornings this week.  He has been looking forward to it for months!! They were so adorable!

Gerogetown Visitation Lacrosse Camp

 Emmy got to go to lacrosse camp at Georgetown Visitation this week!  A lot of her friends from Mojo went too and they had a great time.  It wasn't even too hot - rare for this time of year here in DC.  The camp ran in the afternoons which was actually nice for the first week out of school.  We didn't do too much else and the other kids all got to relax and have a nice first week of summer break!
