Emmy and Aoife's Ballet Recital

 Emmy and Aoife had their dance recital tonight!  They were so adorable and did a great job!  Emmy performed first with her hip hop class and then did a quick costume change and performed with Aoife and her ballet class.  They were super cute and dealt with a little case of nerves very well!  Both girls have decided to continue with dance next year but have decided to only do one class per week.  Emmy had two classes per week this year and I think it was a little bit too much for her.  Hopefully we can coordinate with some of the other little dancers in the neighborhood and have a carpool!!!  Here's a link to last year's recital - they've gotten so old in the past year!!

Ballet/Jazz Class

 On Mondays Aoife and Emmy take a ballet/jazz class together.  Emmy is one of the helper "teachers" and she really does help out a lot with the littler students.  I think it helps the teacher to have older girls who can demonstrate what she is teaching and to model good behavior!  They both did a great job - can't wait for the performance in the Spring!!

Emmy's Ballet/Hiphop class

Emmy's class had an observation for their last class before vacation.  It was adorable and she did great - especially since she only switched into the class 3 weeks ago!!!  I can't wait to see Emmy and Aoife's class on Monday!!

Yorktown Dance Clinic

 We didn't have school today because it was election day; the girls got to both go to the Yorktown Dance Team Dance Clinic.  Emmy went last year and had a great time and this year both of them got to go!!  They had fun and did a great job in the dance at the end!

Aoife and Emmy's Ballet Recital

 Emmy and Aoife have been working hard all year in dance and today they had their end of year recital.  It was really great and it was so fun for them to be part of a show with all of the older girls.  Their class performed to "All That Jazz" and it was a really fun and energetic performance!  They had a great time!!
