Super Quad

Aidan's wrestling team had another Super Quad today. The team did great and everyone is really starting to turn it up for the last half of the season!

Langley Invitational

The boys had a great day at the Langley Invitational today!  It was a really big meet and unfortunately Aidan was eliminated in his first two matches but many of the boys did well!  We are really looking forward to the rest of the season!

Super Quad at the New Gym!

The wrestling team had another SuperQuad this Saturday and even though Aidan is on antibiotics for an ear infection, he did great and had a few wins! It was my weekend to cook breakfast for the team - so many eggs!!!

Potomac vs. Saint Stephens St Agnes

Another dual meet today - this one down in Alexandria at St Stephens St Agnes. The team did great and won the meet!  So proud of them!

Aidan wrestled a few matches today and did really well!  Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of photos - mostly took video for Aidan to watch afterwards. We are so proud of him an how well he is doing!!

Aidan's team had their first dual meet today vs Bishop Ireton. So much fun to watch him wrestle!

Potomac Homecoming

Aidan went to Homecoming this weekend! He went to a lovely pre-dance party at one of his classmates' houses. After the dance the kids and parents were all invited back for an afterparty as well. A pretty amazing first Homecoming!

Aidan's 8th Grade Promotion

Aidan had his 8th grade promotion today! The ceremony was really nice and it was great to see everyone dressed up. On to High School next year!!

Getting the cast off!

 Aidan could not stand the thought of keeping the cast on through Thanksgiving if he didn't have to and I had to work on Sunday so he and I stayed in Virginia a couple of extra days. Brendan, Emmy, Aoife and Declan drove up to MA on Sunday morning and then Aidan and I flew up on Tuesday morning after he got his cast off on Monday. He feels so much better but it's amazing how the joint gets so stiff after just three weeks of immobilization!

Aidan's Cast

 Aidan got the permanent cast on today. It's fiberglass and really really hard and a bit lighter than his first cast. Thankfully he will only have to have it on for two weeks!!  So fantastic because it is such a pain  - especially since he can't bend his elbow or his wrist at all!!

Aidan's Broken Elbow

 Aidan's first broken bone today.  He broke his elbow in the last football game of the season and was such a trooper. It hurt so much an he was so good about it. The hospital was fantastic and really took such good care of him and got us out of there as soon as they could with a temporary cast. We have to go to the pediatrician tomorrow to get the Ortho referral to get a real cast after the swelling goes down a bit. Hoping that this is the last cast he ever has to have!

Yorktown vs. Lake Braddock

Sadly, YHS lost today's game. Aidan had some great plays though and as always, its just awesome to watch them play!
