A Visit to Gramma and Daddy Jim

We made our nearly annual trip to Massachusetts this past week!  We drove up and spent a few days with my parents before spending a few days with Brendan's parents and then heading home.  It's tough living away from family and we love going to see them.  Unfortunately, it's our one vacation a year and we spend a LOT of it driving - up and back and between.  It's not what I would call a relaxing week but it's so worth it - lots of fun to be had and lots of memories made!
Aoife helped Daddy Jim plant some beans that they had been growing, Declan loved playing in the car, in the yard and in the water!  We rode bikes, ate lobsters, roasted marshmallows and played in the sprinkler.  It was HOT so it was nice to get into the water a little bit!! I wish that we had more vacation time so we wouldn't be so rushed but one week is about all we can take at a time.  A day off here and there make a nice long weekend but going up to MA isn't really possible in 3 days!

A Visit from Kris

Laurie's boyfriend, Kris, came to visit us tonight.  He is here for work and we haven't left for vacation yet, so it worked out great!  It was nice to meet him - finally!

A Visit from the Dugans

Brendan's cousin Rory and her husband, Tim, and kids, Will, Lochlan and Aoife (!!) came to visit us while they were in the area!  Since we are still in boxes, we went to dinner at Army Navy.  The kids were great and we had so much fun!  7 kids under 9 is a lot but they were all great!!  It was so nice to have visitors and a break from the unpacking madness!!

A visit from Mimi and Big Dan

Brendan's parents drove down from MA to see us this weekend. It was really nice to see them - if only for two days! Aidan and Emmy had a great time playing and Aidan has totally mastered the art of "if Mom says no - ask Grandma"! It is incredible. How can he be only 3 and be so savvy??

Addy's Visit

Addy and Amy have come to visit for a few days while Amy gets certified in Baby Yoga. Addy has joined the Cullinan clan during the day and has fit in very well to the chaos surrounding her. Aidan loves having another baby in the house - proving that he is not kidding when he asks if he can have a baby brother. Emmy likes having Addy around too I think. She isn't jealous and enjoys that she is more mobile than someone in the house. Here are a few pictures of them playing in their jammies this morning.Addy LOVES Emmy's carWe went to River Farm this morning to enjoy the beautiful day and I only got one picture - mostly because I was trying to corral Emmy, keep Aidan within eyeshot and keep Addy happy with Cheerios on the picnic blanket. Addy got to sit in the front of the stroller and Emmy got to sit in Aidan's seat. Aidan wasn't too happy that he had to walk but he humored me!

A visit from Gramma and Daddy Jim

My parents drove down from Boston this weekend to visit and to help me out with the kids on Saturday since I was organizing a silent auction for Aidan's preschool. We had a lot of fun even though we didn't really get to do much of anything. Thanks for driving down Mom and Dad - it was great to see you!!
