Senior Photos

 I spent a lot of time this summer and fall taking senior photos and one of the moms grabbed a few photos of me in one of our sessions!  Love it!

Bird in the house!

Today was a beautiful day and the cat was enjoying sitting on the front porch with the front door propped open. A bird flew in through the open door and smashed into the glass doors in the back of the house and knocked itself out! The cat came charging in after the bird and I was able to scoop it up before Kit got to it. Thankfully the bird seemed OK and flew off just fine!! It was so cute and seemed super calm when I picked it up!

 

Happy Birthday Declan!!

 Declan is 13!!! Starting 7th grade at Potomac AND playing Football has been a big deal and taken up a lot of energy this fall! We are so proud of you and the way you have taken on every challenge. Happy Birthday!! It's going to be a great year!!

Aoife commits to Davidson College!!

Aoife committed to play lacrosse at Davidson College today!! We are so happy for her and thrilled that she has found her home!! She and I went down and visited the school for the day, met the team and went to practice. It is such a beautiful campus and we are so excited for her!!!

Quick New England Trip!

 Aoife and I flew up to Boston for a quick New England trip this week!! We got to see Emmy and Aidan and I gave Aoife a tour of Tufts and Medford - highlighting the two most important places - Chi Omega house and Redbones BBQ in Davis square!! Aidan drove up to Holy Cross and we all went out to dinner together at an awesome Italian place in Worcester - we definitely will be back! Add some college tours in the mix and it was a fun quick visit!!

Potomac vs Georgetown Visitation

Aoife had her first game of the 2025 season with Potomac Varsity Field Hockey today! It was a beautiful day and so much fun to be out on the field again! It's so much fun to watch them play and to be able to watch Aoife use her size and speed!

 

Everyone is Back to School!

 Everyone is back to school!! Declan (7th) and Aoife (11th) started today, Aidan (15th) started yesterday and Emmy(13th) started last week.  Declan and Aoife are now at the same school and will leave together in the morning for the bus - with Aoife driving!! This is the first time in 17 years that I haven't taken anyone to school on the first day - that being said, I will be at school this afternoon for Aoife's first field hockey game. I won't miss out on it entirely! I thought that I would feel sad but I really don't! I am so proud of them all and know they are well prepared for the year ahead. I'm happy Declan and Aoife are together on the same campus - hopefully they will see each other since Aoife is a peer leader in the intermediate school. Go Panthers, Bantams and Crusaders!!
