Surfing Lesson

On our last day of vacation, Emmy and Aidan took a surfing lesson together. They had a blast and they both did great - although they were exhausted by the end!! Maybe I'll take one with them next year!!!

Currituck Lighthouse

Today Aoife, my Dad and mom and I took a break from the beach and headed up to the top of the Currituck Lighthouse! It was a windy day but the view was beautiful and a great break from the heat once you got all the way to the top!  So much fun - a definite must when visiting the area!!

Corrolla Beach

 This year we had one week between lacrosse finishing and football starting to go on vacation. We went with my parents to Corrolla Beach in the outer banks of NC. It was gorgeous and so much fun. The house was beautiful and huge - so big that everyone could have had their own bedroom - we couldn't keep Declan and Aoife apart though! The house was a minute walk from the beach and even had it's own pool AND hot tub - everyone was happy about that!
We had a big kitchen and cooked awesome dinners every night, spent tons of time on the beach, went swimming, ate lots of ice cream and just relaxed. It was exactly what we needed!!

Fun House at The Building Museum

 Today we visited the National Building Museum to see the annual summer exhibit. This year it was called Fun House and it was an entire house built of styrofoam and other white materials. It was pretty cool - just as it is every year. The kids were happy about the return of the giant ball pit!!

Madlax Tryout

Today Aidan tried out for MadLax. He did great in the tryout - totally a beast in goal!  Now we wait to see if he made it!!
