First Round of Planting

We did our first round of Spring Planting today! The kids were very excited and very "helpful"! We planted in our pots to go by the front door, lavender along the front porch and tomatoes and basil along the driveway. The peas are already coming up well and I hope we get a great harvest! I actually found some interesting varieties of tomatoes at Lowes and so we planted one plant each of Arkansas Traveler, Chocolate Cherry, Sweet Cherry and Cherokee Purple. Hopefully we'll have some delicious tomatoes in a few months!

Irish Lasses

Gatlinburg

Over the first weekend in March we went on a quick getaway to Gatlinburg, TN. We had a great time despite a few disasters! The first night we were there Emmy got a stomach bug and spent the night barfing. After a few hours she was on the mend but then Aoife, Brendan and I got it the last night we were there. The drive home was NOT fun and Brendan is my hero for getting us home in one piece! We also got a flat tire while we were there and Brendan smashed his finger - but despite all that we had a good time. I know it's hard to believe!!
We stayed at a indoor waterpark hotel that was awesome, our room(s) was fantastic, we went to a really fun dinner theater and we visited a beautiful aquarium! I think we'll probably go back this summer and rent a cabin. There's a lot to do and we barely scratched the surface!

The girls, Brendan and I went down to Nashville the other day. We got haircuts for the girls, had lunch at PF Chang's and went to Whole Foods. It was really fun to just relax and have fun! The girls look really cute with their new bobs!

Aidan's Birthday Party

We had Aidan's birthday party at the movie theater! It was a great idea - except that you have to know exactly how many people are coming and it seems that the residents of Fort Campbell are VERY bad at RSVPing! The kids ate pizza and cupcakes and then we all went in and saw The Phantom Menace in 3D. The boys had an awesome time but I sat with Emmy and Aoife who could have cared less and it was a LONG movie!! All in all I'd say it was a success! We had about 10 kids and they all had a great time - and the best part was that I didn't have to clean the house!!!

We went bowling with our friends Steph and Josh and their daughter Brighton today. All of the kids had a lot of fun and Brendan and Josh got a good workout chasing the kids around!!

Beauty and the Beast 3D

Last weekend we went to Nashville to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D! We had a great time and went to lunch at Dave and Busters. The kids really had fun running around and playing arcade games!!
Aoife refused to wear her 3D glasses right side up!
