Easter 2014

 We were all together for Easter this year!!!  The kids had a great time with their Easter baskets and we had a fun egg hunt with our neighbors, the Campbells.  It was really low key mostly because Declan really wasn't feeling that well - turns out that when I took him to the doctor on Tuesday, he had an ear infection. I'm sure it was bothering him over the weekend.  Poor little guy!!!

Easter Egg Dying

 On Saturday, we dyed Easter Eggs while Declan was taking his nap.  This continues to be the most hyped but shortest event ever.  Really though - can you actually use more than 18 hard boiled eggs???

101st HHB Ball

On Thursday night, Brendan and I got to go out all on our own to the 101st HHB Ball.  It was nice to get dressed up and be among adults!!

We had family pictures taken on Thursday morning and since we had to take the kids out of school anyway, we went to lunch at Chipotle.  YUMMMMMM!!!

Our Last Trip to Cheekwood

On Sunday we took our last trip to Cheekwood before we move.  It was a beautiful day and the tulips were gorgeous.  I think the tulips were a little more past then they were last year when we went but they were still amazing and we had a nice time walking around and enjoying the warm spring weather.  The hit of the day for Declan was the trains!  He could have stood there all day watching them go around and around the tracks!
I am really going to miss Cheekwood when we go.  I'm sure we'll be able to find something as good or better in Virginia but Cheekwood has been a port in the storm for us during these past 4 years - lots of great memories and fun with the kids.  It was always a welcome break from the stress of deployment.
