4th of July

 The 4th of July was so nice this year! The weather was great - not pouring rain or 1,000,000 degrees like it has been in the past! We went to the annual neighborhood parade and then the Ransoms hosted their annual 4th of July brunch. We went to the Sinton's house to hang out by the pool after and saw fireworks at Washington Golf on the way home!!

Stars at U13 World Festival

We had a great time this weekend at the U13 World Festival. Aoife had an amazing tournament and really put on an incredible performance in goal - despite the heat and being the only goalie for the entire weekend! Its been so fun watching her work and improve over the years!!

 

Garden Updates

 

Lax for the Cure

Emmy and her Capital team played in Lax for the Cure this weekend in Princeton. It was a great tournament with some really tough competition. The girls did great - they all wore AC on their arms for Amanda. I think her fighting spirit was with them throughout the weekend.

 

Under Armour All American Tryouts

Emmy tried out for the DC UA All American Team today in the pouring rain! Keeping our fingers crossed!!

 

Summer puzzle!

 

A trip to NC

 We were not able to go to Amanda's celebration of life last weekend because of Emmy's state title game so we went to see Justin and the kids this weekend. We stayed at their friends' lake cabin and didn't see them all that much but it was good to be there. Things feel very strange and sad right now.
