The kids had been looking forward to building gingerbread houses for WEEKS! I really did hold them off for as long as possible but they wore me down and an activity that I had really wanted to save for winter break happened the FIRST DAY that they didn't have school. They had a good time but realized that it's actually hard work to get things the way that you want them! They lost a bit of interest part of the way through but with some encouragement, managed to finish some great looking houses!!
