Emmy got her ears pierced!!
Emmy got her ears pierced! She is turning 7 in a few days and we thought that it would be a great birthday present! She was really brave even though she was nervous. She picked out a pair of little pink crystal earrings - perfect for her! She is really looking forward to being able to wear new fun earrings but it's going to be a few weeks until they heal!

Fun in Durham!
There really isn't much to do in Durham! I'm sure it's a lovely place but we really didn't do too much while Aidan was at camp. We swam in the pool at the hotel - everyone loved that! - and went to the mall a lot! It was actually nice to have so much down time right after the move!

Duke Football Camp
This week we drove down to Durham so Aidan could go to football camp at Duke for a few days. He has never played before and he had a fantastic time! They focused on fundamentals - no pads, no tackling - and made sure the kids had fun! I think it was a great start for Aidan. He'll play this fall and it was good to get him some instruction before practices begin!!

A Visit from the Dugans
Brendan's cousin Rory and her husband, Tim, and kids, Will, Lochlan and Aoife (!!) came to visit us while they were in the area! Since we are still in boxes, we went to dinner at Army Navy. The kids were great and we had so much fun! 7 kids under 9 is a lot but they were all great!! It was so nice to have visitors and a break from the unpacking madness!!

Strawberry Picking
The girls and I went strawberry picking with our friends, the Sharps, in Maryland! It's so nice to have friends already! Kim just had Edy with her because Will and Maggie were still in school. It was nice to have just a few kids with us, although I'm sure it would have been fun with everyone!!
