Emmy at E12

Emmy attend the E12 Camp this evening. It was so hot but all of the girls played so hard! It was a great opportunity to play with some amazing players and get coached by fantastic coaches. This journey isn't easy but it sure is incredible!

Declan's Cast

Declan got his cast today!! We were sooooo happy to find out that he only needs a short cast and that it's possible that he will only be in it for three weeks! Keeping our fingers crossed!!

William and Mary Camp

Emmy and I drove down to Williamsburg so she could attend the William and Mary Camp. We stayed in a beautiful hotel in Williamsburg, ate an amazing dinner, walked around the town and ate cheesecake on the veranda! The next day was soooo hot and the girls were so tough and played so hard all day. The camp was great - the team was really welcoming and the area is just beautiful!!

IWCLA Capital Cup

Aoife's 2027 Stars Team won the Championship at the Capital Cup! They went 4-0 and then beat Phantastix 4-3 in the Championship!! What an awesome way to finish up their Stars career! After this year the girls will most likely split and play for different teams. It's been such a great team to play with over the past years. We will really miss them all!!

Declan's Broken Arm

So today did NOT turn out the way that I had anticipated. We got to the field for Aoife's warm ups and Declan was excited to rollerblade on the tennis courts because they are always nice and smooth! Bad weather was coming in but they started Aoife's game anyway - about 10 minutes into the game some players from another team came and got me because Declan had fallen. I decided that he needed to get an X-ray and then the bad weather rolled in and the game was called for lightning. Aoife was able to hang out with Aidan - he had come to the game in his own car - and Brendan and Emmy showed up not long after I left.

Declan and I headed to the closest urgent care but there was a long line so they sent us to another office about 15 minutes away. It was the LONGEST 15 minute drive ever. We got the X-ray and sure enough - it was broken - in fact - both bones in his arm were broken. They put him in a temporary cast above the elbow with instructions to see the orthopedist the next week.

We headed back to the lacrosse field for the end of the last game and then back to the townhouse. Definitely NOT the plan today but we will make the best of it!
