Before and After

Those of you who know me, know that housekeeping is not my biggest talent. Don't get me wrong - I don't like things untidy but I just don't put enough effort in to keep things as they should be. My mom is a tidy person and unfortunately that didn't get passed on to me - maybe it will skip a generation. In general my house is CLEAN but messy - if that makes sense. Under all the toys, the floor is clean. The laundry is mostly done most of the time and dishes are not in the sink. My pantry was one of the messiest things in my house and it was getting so bad that it was hard to find anything. Here's what it looked like at the beginning of the evening tonight:Doesn't that just give you hives just looking at it? Believe me - it was worse too because you can't see most of it. The closet extends both to the left and right beyond the door frame and it was just as bad there. It didn't actually take me that long to organize it and here is the final product:Yeah! Now I have room, can see everything and don't have to be humiliated when the babysitter looks for more paper towels! Now I jut have to tackle the rest of the laundry room...

Tidiness is just a function of time and motivation, and there are plenty of other things to do with one's time, quite honestly! But your pantry looks great and I bet you can find stuff now too. :-)

Well - if that's it - then it's not wonder I am a disaster. I have neither time nor the motivation! I actually spend most of my time making more of a mess - and quite enjoying myself at that! xoxo

HAH!! That's hilarious Becky! Re-organizing feels so nice once it's complete. But, I agree, time and motivation-- who has it??

And the hardest part is maintaining the neatness!! Looks great, wish my pantry looked that organized.
